Salomão Bandeira (PhD) has been the main face of seaweed biodiversity research in Mozambique; he has also written on Eucheuma/Kappaphycus testing cultivation and, is an ecologist that is engaged on seagrass and mangroves structure dynamics as well as restoration. He has over 70 peer-reviewed publications and co-authored four books. He is an associate professor at Eduardo Mondlane University, Mozambique and is involved in West Africa seagrass research and management, under GRID Arendal (Norway).
